BEING ANOINTED DOES NOT GUARANTEE SALVATION Leave a comment

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Mathew 10:7-8)

Our Lord Jesus Christ and the disciples he commissioned to take care of His church had a simple lifestyle and were kindhearted. Their ministry was driven by love for humanity, and not greed for material things, as has become the manner of many ministers in our time.

Truth be told, the Apostles of old did not charge money for their services. They healed the sick, cast out demons, preached the good news, prophesied, performed signs and wonders, and counselled people without charging for their services. In return, God caused people to support their ministry with material things. From free will offering, they had so much to take care of their families and also those who were in need.

Unlike us, who have turned the church into a business centre where we use God’s name to deceive people, collect their money to enrich ourselves, the Apostles of old were sacrificial in their calling. They were not after material things of this world. Whilst we are greedy, hate one another and are prideful, the apostles of old walked in love. They were humble and walked in obedience to the Lord at all times. The disciples of old took advantage of no one. They did not live large whilst the people they led wallowed in abject poverty. They were heavenly minded. He whose mind is in heaven has no value for the material things of this world.

The Apostles of old did not make themselves friends with politicians. If they did, Herod and other political leaders in their time wouldn’t have seen them as enemies. As for us, we join hands with politicians to impoverish the masses. Politicians loot the treasury and share with us. We enjoy blood money with criminals, yet we pride ourselves as anointed men of God.

As if supporting the evil ways of politicians is not enough, we charge consultation fees for our services as men of God. We ask people to buy all manner of so-called spiritual stuff from us. We forget that our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ says that as much as as we have received His anointing freely, we should also give out freely to others. Many men of God have failed to keep that commandment. Greed has taken over our hearts. The love of money has stolen the love of God and humanity from us. This is a dangerous trend which has robbed many believers their salvation.

The scripture is clear that only those who obey the Father’s commandment will enter the kingdom of heaven. Read the below scripture and see for yourself what will happen to those who think they can disobey God and not be punished because they are anointed.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.(Mathew 7:21-23)

The above scripture is a great warning to all ministers of the gospel. Whoever says he is anointed to prophesy, heal the sick, cast out demons, perform signs and wonders in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ should be guided by it.

Truth be told, our ability to prophesy, heal the sick, perform signs and wonders won’t save us from condemnation if we chose to work iniquity. We must never forget that God will judge all of us based on His word. Judgment day is coming. What account will we give?

Let us not forget that on the last day, riches made from consultation fee, selling of water, oil, handkerchief, anointed stickers and photos, including any red liquid nicknamed “Blood of Jesus” will not buy salvation for anyone. Hear me, the so-called Blood of Jesus you are selling to people won’t save you on the last day. Beware!
