Pass Behind her rehearsal joint and you might think the beautiful tunes you hear from her trumpet is from an old well experienced trumpeter. In fact you might think it is one of the team member of the Osibisa group playing those melodious tune. This is Sandra Efua Dadzie. The serious thirteen year old trumpeter from Breman Eyipey in the Central Region of Ghana.

Born to Charlotte Mensah (mother) and William Inkoom (Father), Sandra has been rehearsing and playing the trumpet for the past three years. According to her, it is her dream to play in one of the world’s greatest band when the opportunity arises. She also dreams of playing and performing on stage alongside her role model Joyce Blessing. this shows her love for Gospel Music. Anyway, Sandra’s favourite music “We are the chosen Generation”, according to her is what ushered her into learning how to play the trumpet. Sandra is currently a vibrant member of the Salvation Army Brass Band in Breman Eyipey. She sometimes also plays alongside other members of other Brass Bands. Notably amongst them is the Compassion Brass Band and The Assemblies of God Brass Band. No event goes by without her not playing her favourite tunes to the hearing of all present. She dreams of becoming a broadcaster in future. Luckily for her, she has a well educated father who teaches in one of the public schools in the municipality. She likes reading story books. Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are her favourite story books so far.
