Why Use an Older Version of Google Chrome?

While Google only provides the latest version of Chrome through its online installer, some users may prefer older releases when a new update removes a favorite feature or introduces a bug. However, note that outdated browsers can carry serious security vulnerabilities.

Support for Java, Silverlight & NPAPI Plugins

We only began archiving from Chrome 48; NPAPI support (for Java, Silverlight, etc.) was dropped in Chrome 45. If you need a build with NPAPI, contact our premium support at digipro@digirefera.com.

Google Chrome for Windows 32Bit & 64Bit

  • Pre‑V58: Download the 7zip self‑extracting .exe, run it, then launch chrome.exe from the extraction folder.
  • V59+: Use the official offline installer (one‑click, no UI). Uninstall any newer Chrome first.
