Abraham Attah – Abraham Nti Attah

Abraham Nii Attah (born 2 July 2001) is a Ghanaian actor, living in the U.S. for his career and education. He hails from the Ga–Dangme ethnic group in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He made his feature film debut in Beasts of No Nation (2015). A brother and his sister seek closure after Ebola ravages their West African village in the Out of Village(2016). For his leading role of child soldier Agu, Attah was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival. He was made an Ambassador for the Free Education Policy in Ghana, after having supported the policy with a picture endorsement.

In 2017, he appeared in the Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Homecoming. He has joined the ensemble cast of Shane Carruth‘s third film, The Modern Ocean.


At just 16 years of age, Attah has gained international recognition standing today as one of the most internationally recognized Ghanaian actors. He has since had encounters with various Hollywood celebrities including Sylvester Stallone, Morgan Freeman, Terry Crews, Will Smith, Ben Stiller and John Legend among others.

The teenager deservedly won a number of awards for his role in the Beasts of No Nation, a critically acclaimed Netflix film. Here he played the role of Agu, an 11-year old orphan recruited to a guerrilla army in an anonymous country in West Africa. For this role Abraham Attah was honored with the Marcello Mastroianni Best Young Actor Award at the 72nd edition of the International Film Festival held in Venice in 2015. He also received the Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards.
