Niger becomes first country to successfully host Africa Continental Summit 2019

World Peace, Development and sustainability is a very important  tool for everlasting global achievements. This is one of several main reasons, why Universal Peace Federation and the Government of Niger successfully hosted participants, stake holders, Select groups, NGO’s and heads of states from several countries for the Africa Continental Summit for Peace, Security and Human Development. This summit was organized under the presidency of His Excellency ISSOUFOU MAHAMADOU, Head of state of Niger and President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

 

The main theme of this Continental Summit is “Building a Peaceful, United and Prosperous Africa Centered on Universal Values: Peace, Security, Reconciliation, Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universal Values”.

A select group of more than 2000 delegates from across Africa and beyond, including personalities from all institutional, diplomatic, social, professional, faith-based areas of society and communities of Niger, were present at this historic event for Peace. In attendance were six (6) current Heads of states, twenty five (25) former Head of States, Twenty four (24) speakers of parliament, One Hundred and twenty five (125) ministers, three hundred and eighty three (383) members of parliament, three hundred and fifty (350) traditional rulers and other dignitaries from all of Africa. Also in attendance were First Ladies, Presidents of Parliaments and Republican Institutions, Religious Leaders, women and youth leaders, business leaders, leaders of Civil Society and Heads of Defence and Security, including the International Media Fraternity.

The four (4) day Summit, which took place at the Radisson Banquet Hall, offered a platform, and the opportunity for all stake holders, to discuss and initiate a multidimensional and multidisciplinary framework to promote peace, reconciliation, security and unity in Africa; and also assiduously work towards human development among all peoples.

All stake holders concluded on the necessary steps to be taken, in order to uphold the fundamental principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared values as advocated by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Co-Founder of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF).

The Grand Plenary session on November 28, 2019, with Heads of State and Government in attendance, brought a new level of vitality to the International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP), a non-sectarian and nongovernmental body for current and former Heads of State and Government.

This Continental Summit at it’s end, was dedicated to the convening of the African Assembly of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP), the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD), the International Association of Traditional Rulers for Peace and Prosperity (ITAPP). There was a special forum for First Ladies and Women Leaders. Series of presentations to address issues related to the New Vision for Peace and the Project for a Heavenly Africa launched at the African Summit in Dakar on the 18th, 19th and 20th of January 2018 by UPF Founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon in the presence of His Excellency MACKY SALL, President of the Republic of Senegal.

Some Stake holders, in attendance shared their views on the issues discussed at the summit.

To achieve these objectives, all participants in this Summit will support and honour, with their presence, the Cultural Festival of Renewal of Families for Peace to be held on November 29, 2010 as well as the Youth Cultural Festival on the 30th of November 2019.
